Burnt Toast SFX began in 2019 when our founder, Jamie, saw a gap in the theatre sector. At that time, Jamie was a theatre producer, looking to source high-quality, imaginative special effects for his own productions. That challenge sparked an idea.
Jamie approached the MOD and the Red Arrows to build a theatre flying effect… and the Red Arrow Hawk was born. He gathered a trusted team of makers and dreamers, and together they brought this effect to life. Once taken to the theatrical skies, this marked the official launch of Burnt Toast — and the company hasn’t looked back since.
