We’re looking for a hard-working, theatre-experienced team member to join one of the countries leading special effect companies for the upcoming pantomime season (10th November 2025 – 13th January 2026).
This is a hands-on role where you’ll receive full training in theatre special effects and work as part of our tight-knit, supportive team. You’ll be involved in lifting, installing and removing flying and special effects in theatre venues across the UK – helping to bring unforgettable moments of stage magic to life.
Requirements:
🚐 Aged 21+ with at least 2 years’ driving experience
🚐 Confident driving Luton vans
💪 Comfortable with manual handling and working in theatre environments
🎭 Enthusiastic, reliable, and a great team player
🌟 East Midlands based preferred but not essential

Behind the scenes is the Burnt Toast SFX team installing the Floral Spectacle in London last week! Managing director Jamie with creators Casey Ridealgh and Harry Marcus as well as workshop leader Benjy Jones, working alongside the brilliant Ammonite crew and the Sadler’s Wells team to get Aslan in his perfect place.
We’re so proud to have worked on this magical special effect! Just look at that precious detail!
