Steampunk Plane ๐
My favourite effects at Burnt Toast are the planes. They are always imposing, no matter the stage; they get a brilliant reaction from audiences and the performers that ride them.
But if I had to choose one, it would be our โSteampunk Planeโ. The level of detail at both an engineering and scenic level is incredible.
I love seeing how directors find new and amusing ways to incorporate โmayday modeโ. Where, at a flick of a switch, the plane brakes down mid flight.
The challenge of building these complex designs, all while ensuring industry leading safety, is why I love working at Burnt Toast SFX!

Benjy`s favourite effect: The Genie`s ๐งโโ๏ธ
The Genie flying carpet is number one for me.
Despite its relatively small size, this effect always produces some of the largest audience reactions. Proving that bigger isnโt always better.
I love how the carpet can be a completely different effect across each performer. This gives a fresh display of magic every time it comes on stage.
Building this one was also very enjoyable. We spent a long time in the research and development stage to achieve the buoyant and graceful flight of the magic effect.
Iโve never had more people ask โhow the hell did you do that?โ
